We underline the responsibility we take for people and nature both through sustainable products and through a range of individual measures in the daily operations of our production facility. Sustainability is playing an increasingly important role, which is why we are also taking concrete action in this area.
- Paperless office and conversion of business supplies to recycled material
Our employees take "Think before you print" very seriously and do so for many years now. By switching to archiving documents in the IT system, Helios now only prints those documents that are legally required to be retained. Otherwise, everything that was previously printed on normal paper is now printed on recycled paper, e.g. our instructions for use.
With our actions, we strengthen the awareness of our employees, our customers and our suppliers to act responsible. We want to provide inspiration for shaping the future.
- Sponsor in "Plant for the Planet"
We not only want to demonstrate responsibility within our business processes, but also support external projects that we think are good. For this reason, we sponsor "Plant for the Planet". Here, pupils and young people are educated about the need to treat our resources with care and the importance of climate and climate change. Under the motto "Stop Talking. Start Planting", children and young people are trained to become "climate ambassadors" and "future lobbyists" in the worldwide "Plant for the Planet Academies". We think it's a great idea! This initiative was launched in 2007 and around 100,000 children are now involved in the campaign.
Our sustainable thermos flasks & drinking cups under the brand "Helios - my green"
Helios Renature: We manufacture this branded vacuum jug from 98% recycled plastic. The Helios Renature model is therefore not only recommended for both private and professional users in terms of form and function, but also makes an active contribution to environmental protection.
All printed matter relating to the product is also produced with ecological aspects in mind.
Helios Green Wave: This new model scores with clever function, sustainability and professional dishwasher resistance all in one. Helios Green Wave is made from 100% recycled plastic; only the Santoprene sealing to make it dishwasher-safe is made from new material. Regranulates* are used for the production of the plastic, so no new raw materials are used. With its dark green Santoprene seal and special print, this thermos jug is easy to differentiate from the standard Helios Wave variant. The "Green Wave" logo clearly symbolizes that this is a sustainable vacuum jug product from Helios and draws attention to the upcycling process used in the production of this item.
*Regranulates are recycled plastics that are created during the recycling of scrap material in Helios production.
Helios WayCup: Although the reusable cup or to-go cup is made of "ordinary" (non-recycled plastic) compared to the products mentioned above, but Helios WayCup also makes a contribution to environmental protection. While one-way cups are thrown away after a single use, Helios WayCup can easily be reused at least 500 times - we have tested this for you. In addition, our reusable cup can be cleaned easily and practically in the dishwasher - this also saves water compared to washing by hand.
